John Schwartz
could not be more excited about the new release and says this `05
Cabernet is just as good, if not better, than the `04. I would
agree.
The
2005 vintage was a winemaker's dream... perfect conditions, long
hang-time, unbelievable balance and a 10% jump in crop weight.
95%
Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District with 5% Syrah, this beautiful cuvee offers rich, luscious layers of
raspberries, dark berries, coffee bean, caramel, vanilla and a long finish
that resembles a chocolate covered cherry. Powerful,
complex, with fleshy tannins and outstanding balance. This youthful
Cabernet will drink even better with a couple of additional months of
bottle age and is sure to show its best within 5-7 years.
Winemakers'
John Schwartz (owner of Amuse Bouche) & Danielle Price (director of
wine for Wynn Resorts) hit the nail on the head with this top shelf juice along with
incredible
packaging. I have yet to see packaging that beats this! The label, the words of a Frenchman pouring out his
hear to his beloved, literally peels off the bottle with an area on the
back for you to record the details of how this bottle was enjoyed.
Who, Where, When & Why are the fields scripted on the
back for you to record the details of your Anniversary, the night you
proposed, or an intimate party among friends. Once the label is
removed for safekeeping, an image of the label remains on the bottle.
Now that's ingenuous! Still only 500 cases.
